My Approach to Helping
I'm a transpersonal counselor and art therapist. I see my work as a way to combine the creative process with psychotherapy that focuses on the soul. I love using images to help people make transformative change. I counsel people who seek clarity and purpose, but who are held back by shame, grief, or fear. Using sand tray, art therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and transpersonal counseling, I help clients explore neglected aspects of their being and find meaning in their lives.
I have supported adults and children with an early history of trauma, couples who feel distant, elders facing end-of-life spiritual issues, and individuals in transition and deep grief. I help my clients safely lean into and learn from their emotional wounds, leaving space to develop wisdom and empowerment.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I have specialty training in treating survivors of early childhood abuse and neglect. Traumatic experience affects how we relate to others, how we relate to the world, and how we relate to ourselves. I work with this population to build safety and new ways to cope, develop inner strength and a sense of self, and to understand how our past informs our present. EMDR and Art Therapy are brilliant when used in combination to help transform our views of ourselves and our place in the world after trauma.
