My Approach to Helping
I know how hard it is to ask for help! No one ever comes to a therapist when things are going well. For many people this is a very hard task just to reach out to a therapist. I want you to know you are in good company. Many people struggle to ask for help. I want to help you feel better and create goals with you to help manage your life and relationships. I have an eclectic approach and use whatever works. I am very interactive, and do not just sit and contemplate. I am experienced in several modalities that will help you manage stress, anxiety, and depression. Whether you would like to work on your past, present and future or all three we can figure it out together. I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) to assist with trauma, anxiety, and depression. This is a very effective way to process traumas and reduce symptoms of PTSD. I have over 15 years of experience working in various mental health issues, with all types of populations. I have over 25 years’ experience in the health care field.
