My Approach to Helping

"Kimberly Underdue is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Anger Management Specialist. She has over 20 years experience working with children, families and individuals as an agent of support and guidance. Her professional life includes a commitment to serving the needs of children and families as a School Social Worker.

She has studied many modalities to bring healing to those in need. She is a life, long learner inspired by the abundance of opportunities available to broaden and enrich the lives of her students. Ms. Underdue has mentor MSW students for over 10 years. The majority of her students have been successful in obtaining their LCSW. Ms. Underdue is the immediate past Jack and Jill National Mental Health Taskforce Chair. She is currently an active member of the National Association of Social Workers and Georgia Addiction Counselors Associations.

She has additional expertise in areas of Loss and Trauma, Social Emotional Learning Initiatives, Family Systems, Crisis Intervention, ADHD, Anxiety and Depression. She is especially sensitive to the needs of children who have been involved in foster care andor the Juvenile Justice System. Ms. Underdue is former foster parent and adoptive mother.

She was invited as a guest speaker on various Talk shows and Forums. . Topics included ADHD and The Income Achievement Gap. Kimberly is a volunteer for Girls First, Inc. which advocates for girls who are homeless and at risk. She currently serves on the Henry County United Way Advisory Board.

Ms. Underdue has advocated for children in the Georgia Family Court System. This is where she cultivated her passion for advocacy and social justice. Ms. Underdue is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy."
