My Approach to Helping

My joy is working with couples who are seeking peace and understanding within their relationship. In a safe setting, we focus on rebuilding trust and connection. There is then an opportunity to restore belief in the relationship and each other.

I delight in helping couples get back to a peaceful, loving relationship. Through our work together, each partner has the opportunity to be heard and understood. Ultimately, couples can rediscover their love and respect for each other.

More Info About My Practice

My clinical psychology degree specialization is in LGBT Affirmative psychology. This training impacts all of my work, as it allows a celebration of the unique identities, experiences, and backgrounds of every individual, couple, and family.

Many of my clients identify as geeks, nerds, misfits, odd ducks, or socially awkward. I relish working with clients who feel like they've never quite fit in or been understood.

Theoretical Influences that Guide My Work

With couples, I utilize the techniques of Gottman Method Couples Therapy: I have completed the Level 3 Practicum Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and I am passionate about this research-based method of helping couples achieve the relationship they desire.

My individual work often focuses on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, anxiety disorders, and I find clients experience relief and success when we work on their challenges using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy methods, including Exposure and Response Prevention.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Specializing in anxiety disorders, I understand the incredible internal strength of those who struggle with anxiety each day. Too often anxiety is minimized and misunderstood. Clients and I collaborate to create a customized strategy to overcome the challenges created by anxiety, outsmarting anxiety and achieving their goals.
