My Approach to Helping
I’m a clinical psychologist and I specialize in therapy for adults. If you’re here, I’m guessing it’s because you are struggling with something in your life and feel like you need help. I know how hard it can be to reach out and ask for help, and I’m glad that you’ve made it this far. Therapy doesn’t have to be daunting and mysterious. At the most basic level, therapy is just two people relating with one another in a relaxed, safe, and supportive atmosphere. What makes it different from other relationships is that we keep the focus on you, and I have specialized training that enables me to foster the conditions necessary for change.
While I'm trained and qualified to work with a range of presenting problems, I specialize in one on one therapy sessions with adults. I'm experienced with relational and emotional issues including depression, anxiety, transition, sexuality, complex trauma, spirituality, and identity issues.
I work to provide a therapeutic space where you feel safe and are able to share your thoughts and feelings, even the vulnerable ones. Vulnerability takes courage, but is the root of therapeutic transformation. I believe that every person deserves to feel seen, understood, and heard.
