My Approach to Helping
I have an innate interest in the human condition and respect for your individual story. I am passionate about empowering you to be your own agent of change. Let’s collaborate to identity and draw upon your strengths to achieve a sense of balance, fulfillment and purpose.
My work experience as a licensed therapist has been in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals, and private practice. I draw from Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused and Mindfulness to work with those struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, griefloss, and addiction. I’m committed to encouraging clients to be honest with themselves while working towards their goals. Let’s work together to explore how to better navigate life, and make appropriate changes to improve overall well-being.
I hold master's degrees in Education and Counseling Psychology and was a teacher prior to entering the mental health field. I find nature restorative, and having lived in a variety of climates, I enjoy almost any outdoor activity, regardless of the weather.
“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” -Viktor Frankl
