How Clinicians Can Retain Today’s Clients

Presented by Lynn Grodzki, LCSW, MCC on 05-03-2019 at 9 a.m. Pacific (noon Eastern) to 10:30 a.m. Pacific (1:30 p.m. Eastern)

A sometimes disturbing secret of the therapy profession is the poor rate of client retention within clinicians’ caseloads. 20% of clients may leave therapy before they see results or their treatment is complete. Newer therapists may be facing dropout rates of up to 75% of their clients. Therapists are getting ghosted by too many clients and feel frustrated about the difficulty in maintaining motivated clients.

In this 90-minute webinar, Lynn Grodzki, LCSW, MCC discusses key strategies to use—from the first hello to working toward a good ending—that keep clients coming back. Lynn provides “just in time learning”—skills and strategies that can be used immediately within private practice, agency, or community mental health clinics. This webinar is geared for therapists of all professions and levels of experience.

This introductory instructional level marketing webinar is designed to help clinicians:

  1. Analyze why reducing dropout is a primary way psychotherapists can boost their effectiveness.
  2. Prepare to structure the very first contact (whether phone call, email, or text) so clients book a first session.
  3. Explain how to help clients see more results in every session.
  4. Use creative metaphors to keep clients motivated.
  5. Observe retention when speaking and turn more audience members into actual clients.
