My Approach to Helping
Art is not only my passion but a way in which I’ve been able to assist others during difficult times. As a clinically trained Art Therapist and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I use empathy, warmth, & compassion to help my clients find their courage, hope, & happiness. In addition, I utilize client-centered approaches & integrative models to ensure that my clients feel heard, understood, & supported.
I have extensive experience in working with children & adolescents, specifically those with learning disabilities, developmental issues, andor emotional disturbance. In addition to working in the school setting as an Educationally Related Mental Health Services Therapist (ERMHS) for Special Education; I am also a credentialed School Counselor.
In the private practice setting, I have worked with young children through adults, working with the specific needs of individuals, families, couples, & groups. It is my hope & goal that each client experiences a personalized, safe, & comforting environment in which to share their life story & reach their full potential.
