My Approach to Helping

During this pandemic, it is normal to feel like things are harder. Individuals are grieving the loss of a larger community and having to rethink or postpone individual goals. In a couple or family, how one person does anxiety, grief or anger can create tensions with others. We are all struggling but are you in a rut? Have some of your symptoms (sleeplessness, lack of focus, obsessive thinking, withdrawal, loss of joy, irritability, loneliness) become unbearable? Now is the time to reach out and get help to navigate the crisis in front of us. Most of us have never been in this kind of crisis and you are not alone in being faced with your limits and the limitations of those around you. I want to help get you get back on track and make the best of the life you can have right now.

I work with people who get stuck emotionally in depression, anger, anxiety, numbness, withdrawal and stress. I help them understand what they are doing to themselves and others that prevents them from being more satisfied. I will help you do so with empathy, respect and authenticity.

More Info About My Practice

Do you know you can have more out of life even today with limited mobility? Do you struggle to understand why you are unable to have satisfying relationships when you most need them? Are you challenged by today's stressors and are looking for more internal balance? You are in the right place. This is a time to deepen your self understanding and strengthen your relationships. I will help you find a new balance, get through hurts and pain that hold you back in normal times, to create a good life. I work with clients who are high functioning in the world and want a better inter-personal and internal quality of life -- to help you not just cope but thrive at home and at work.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I encourage individuals eager to develop their relationship quality to engage in couple andor group therapy. In couple therapy, you will learn how you end up pushing away your partner and learn new ways of calming your self to engage with better results. In group therapy, patients who are in individual and group benefit from seeing how they recreate their relationship patterns with complete strangers. Group therapy is the best way to learn about oneself in relationships and improve your connectedness and self-confidence.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

The most important questions to ask in my view and according to research are: Can I connect with this therapist? Will I be able to let her help me? Do I think I have something to learn from her journey and approach to life? As you see, these questions are entirely subjective, and have little to do with theoretical approach. So check your gutt, and be curious about the therapists you meet. Choose the one you think that you connect with, and are willing to share your pains and joys with.
