My Approach to Helping
It is my goal to provide a warm and safe environment for those who seek my help. This environment allows for healing to take place; healing for the broken places in a person or a relationship. People can find themselves at a place in their lives they are uncertain as how to bring about change; it is my belief they have the solutions within themselves, and sometimes simply need someone to help them realize this.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I have had experience working with couples surrounding various issues including: premarital counseling, communication issues, pornography issues, parenting differences and repairing after a betrayal; I have developed a heart for blended families and the unique set of relationship dynamics they experience. In addition to my private practice, I have extensive experience working with individuals and their families coping with the aftermath of sexual assault and abuse.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Our society has created a sense that if one pursues therapy they have a type of weakness that is to be considered shameful. I like to help a client understand their problems are normal, that their difficulties are common to most. Not only are their problems normal, but the very fact they have sought help actually makes them stronger. It takes great strength to reach out to another and be willing to become vulnerable in order to make the changes to improve their life.
