My Approach to Helping
Are you looking for a down to earth therapist, who will be supportive of your goals? My name is Belinda Williams. I have been practicing therapy for 5 years. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work. I am well versed in working with individuals, children and families experiencing depression, anxiety, relational issues and trauma. I help my clients find balance in their lives through a range of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing and many more. I take no one approach when working with someone. Together you and I will determine what will be the most beneficial approach for you.
We all experience difficulties in life, myself included, that sometimes make it hard to get through our daily tasks. I would be honored to help you on your journey. While working with me you can expect me to draw from clinical approaches as well as my personal experiences with life’s difficulties. I am gentle and will also be candid and honest throughout treatment. It is my goal to assist you with creating lasting change within your life, so expect me to continually challenge you to look beyond the surface and deeper into the underlying issues. Expect to cry, to be angry, to be frustrated and lost at times and expect to laugh, to be joyful and hopeful as we work together. This process will be challenging, but I am committed to providing support and guidance throughout your journey.
