My Approach to Helping
Since 2005, I've been working to improve people's confidence and assist them solve their challenges.
As a registered professional counselor, I assist clients cope with stressful situations by focusing on their strengths. Seeing the dearth of mental health alternatives prompted me to enter the industry, and I made it my mission to improve access to counseling and mental health services. I earned my degree in Counseling and Guidance from Louisiana Tech University in 2005. I worked with low-income seniors on Medicare and Medicaid, focusing on grieving, loss, and life transitions. After 15 years with that company, I decided to go solo.
The previous fifteen years, I have treated hundreds of patients and guided them through various mental diseases such as sadness and anxiety. I provide empathetic, one-on-one counseling.
I realize that no one method works for everyone, therefore I employ a mix of modalities like CBT, SFT, and DBT. I have worked with individuals, groups, and families in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
