My Approach to Helping

Professional women, military professionals (AD, GS, Res, Guard, Contractor, Retiree), and military spouses face unique challenges and demands. You may be under extreme stress or putting undue pressure on yourself and now feel tired and overwhelmed, wishing your life was in balance. My passion is working with those who need support with stress, anxiety, or depression whether due to daily demands or life transitions like divorce, griefloss, career changes, or moves. I enjoy working with professional women who I believe experience challenges in balancing career, family, and personal needs that sometimes require recalibration through the experience of therapy. I also enjoy working with military professionals who have their own difficulties in managing high work loads and high stress in addition to life's demands; I have worked on bases and with the VA for 10 years as a military psychologist and am also a military spouse so I understand these challenges first hand. You should feel supported in working through challenges & be satisfied with your life. Via on-line therapy, we'll identify your main concerns and use your strengths to develop a practical plan for reducing pain.

We'll work together to identify life patterns, thoughts, and behaviors that have you stuck. Therapy is custom-tailored to use your strengths in making changes. My style is calm, down to earth, professional, compassionate. We'll develop insights that take us further into your story to break through the blocks that have kept you from your most actualized life.

As a professional woman and military spouse, I understand the challenges of life stressors and changes. It pains me to see people suffer when solutions are available.

We’ll work together to:
1) Give you a (cyber)space to tell your story
2) Discuss your hopes and goals
3) Find ways to clear your path for change
4) Identify specific steps you can take to move towards goal achievement
5) Celebrate and maintain changes!

The first step in creating change is focusing on you. I believe psychology provides a guidebook in navigating life and offers relief. Call me today for a free 15 min phone consultation, and we'll see if we're a good fit. I look forward to talking with you.

More Info About My Practice

I offer convenient, quality care via telehealth. Therapy should be a place where you receive an honest assessment, enriching feedback, and a plan. Learn how to manage stress and worry, deliberately choose thoughts that are balanced, and prioritize actions in a way that leads you towards purpose, contentment, and joy. Our therapy sessions are collaborative; expect growth exercises in-between visits to maximize effectiveness. Together, we design changes in-line with your renewed self, and we always go at your pace, never pushing you to a place you don’t feel ready to be. As an experienced psychologist I believe that with support relief is possible. I understand the pressures to perform while coping with life’s stressors. You don’t have to continue with relationship or situational stress, and you don’t have to do it alone. Call me today for a free 15 min phone chat. I look forward to hearing from you.

I am licensed in Florida, Pennsylvania, and Colorado which allows me to provide therapy to you while you are living in or travelling to those states.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

Just know I have been through plenty of life changes and am human just like you. Frustrations come up, life brings difficulties and disappointments, some relationships are tough, and whoa have I made some poor choices leading me to work through "stuff," but this is exactly why I love this field. This field has helped me gain a whole new perspective that I wouldn't trade for anything. I bet it will do the same for you. To me there is nothing more exciting than watching the women I work with struggle and grow through serious challenges and then come out the other side stronger for the journey. There is absolutely no reason to suffer when solutions are available!
